Why The Amazing Race?

Dengan nama Allah...

Just posted a status in facebook "Siapa sudi jadi partner saya untuk join The Amazing Race?"

And somebody sent me a message asking me "Why?"

I have a lot of reasons to answer the question.

As long as I can remember, I have once posted an entry here in the blog about wanting to join The Amazing Race Asia some day.

It will be challenging for a person like me, especially as a muslimah. But it is definitely not impossible!

The food, have to make sure they are all halal and toyyiban.

The games and challenges, have to make sure they are not across the syariah boundaries.

The partner, it's best to have a muhrim but if it's not then have to make sure we deal with it in the proper way.

The time, have to make sure we perform our solah eventhough we are in a race.

Throughout the race, have to take a good care of my aurah.

And a lot more.

Although most muslims will think it might be very difficult, but I think it is possible. Yes, difficult but possible!

Somehow I feel that I have the responsibility to prove it to the world that muslims can be tough too, without losing faith in The Almighty. We can enjoy life too, without forgetting Him and our responsibility towards the religion. We can be champions too, while practising Islam as the way of life.

We love travelling too.

We love extreme activities too.

We have knowledge too.

We are tough and brave too.

We love learning process too.

We have strong bonding among us too.

We are like the others.

The difference between us and the others is we have only one God. We believe in Him. We worship Him by performing solah, doing things He asked us to do (via Quran and Sunnah), we always make du'a, we strive hard to succeed, we are willing to learn.

A lot more to say!

Being good muslims is not just about joining musabaqah, tilawah, and things like that. We can portray our love and tenderness towards Islam by doing a lot more activities. One of them is TARA.

So why do I want to join TARA?

Simple.

Lillahi taala!

It's between me and Him.
